Worst Nissan GT-R Crash

I recently heard in the news that Richard Gutierrez, a famous actor here in the Philippines, was involved in a car crash that seemed to be very fatal. Though now, his conditions are already good. I later found out by reading GTRBlog.com as well as watching news stuff at youtube that Richard was driving a Nissan GT-R. The car had hit a post and crashed, hitting several trees on its final destination. Richard’s assistant was not able to survive the crash while the other fellow with him was able to survive with Richard. Man, to think a Nissan GT-R would crash in a country like the Philippines where a Nissan GT-R isn’t produced! Good thing Richard and the other guy is in safe condition.

Teacher Pia’s last lecture

Yup, today’s the day Teacher Pia gave her final lecture and it was quite fast. So I just took down the terms that flashed onto the projector screen. It was fun, I even had the small task of taking pictures. I’m sure teacher Pia and her husband will laugh at the not-so-professionally taken pictures. I’m still having a hard time coping with lenses I haven’t encountered (since I’m getting the best out of myself on a kit lens, that’s 18-55mm) and also in adjusting settings. So I left everything into the hands of Full Auto setting.

I also had the chance to use the rods that Teacher Pia was talking about before. Hahahah~! onto my hidden blog. 😀 😀 So nice.

Made my day happy.  😀

The New Dell Latitude 2100

dell-latitude-2100-1

I stumbled over this new Dell laptop and I cannot believe how good it is(well, for me). It might look big but it is just a 10.1 inch laptop. It sports a lot of features including the Intel Atom Processor 1.66GHz N270 and 512MB ram for $399. For the Philippine Peso, it goes around PhP 18K. For me, that’s not bad for a Dell Laptop. I always consider Dell Laptops very expensive but this is somewhat cheaper than I thought. The PhP18K price is the base model. For that price, you have a Microsoft Windows XP SP3 installed, 16GB SSD, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950. Although I’m worried about the hard disk, I forgot that this laptop is designed for school use. It even has indicators for you teacher whether you’re doing something else nasty. You can have the option to upgrade the 16GB SSD all the way up to 250GB and more once the warranty goes off. Of course, additional upgrades may bring up the price but it will go on the same bracket (I hope) as the ones in the market already like Asus EEE Pc and Samsung’s.

For me, it’s a good one, especially it’s configured for school use. If I had the money, I’d buy one so I don’t have to bring this bulky 14 inch laptop of mine everyday at school. 😀 Of course, it’s a new laptop and so we shall see if it really plays as a good contender to the lappy’s of today.

and what’s nice? it comes in different colors. 😀

iCampus : Ateneo’s MAC Store

I was strolling around the campus and then I went to Loyola Bookstore inside MVP building. Then I saw this:iCampus

Welcome to Ateneo de Manila’s in-campus MAC Store! If some of you know the fact that Apple is trying to cooperate with universities in the US to sell their products, this one here is basically the same. I’ve also heard that Apple also tried to sell their products in Ateneo before at a cheaper price.

So what’s the purpose of this store inside Loyola Bookstore? Maybe the products sport the same prices in other Power Mac Stores! Oh no, you are wrong. Like I said, Apple is in pursuit of helping students to get a computer at a cheaper price, a decent one of course. The store here is selling cheaper Macbooks and not just Macbooks but also iPod products, Apple accessories and other third party accessories. If I remember it correctly, this are (or rather estimated) prices in-store:

iPod Shuffle – ***Forgot the price!!*** but they’re selling the 4GB unit in black and in silver

iPod Nano – 8 GB – 7.3k PhP(from 9.5k PhP)

iPod Nano – 16GB – P 9825 (from 12K)

iPod Touch – 8 GB – 11K, 16GB- 14K, 32GB- 19K

MacBook White (2.0GHz dual core 120 GB HDD) @ 51K from 56K

Macbook (2.0 GHz 160GB HDD 2 GB ram) @ 65.4K from 72K

MacBook (2.4 GHz 250GB HDD 2 GB ram) @ 78.1K from 89K

So to those Mac enthusiasts, no need to go to a Power mac Store to buy stuff. We have one at campus. 😀 and take note, they are Apple themselves. This is not a hired store from GH. This is really Apple, this is really iCampus. 😀

My PSP’s back~!

Although a few problems.

  • The terminals have to be replaced with a new one but not sure if they used an original one.
  • The rubber membrane used was rubbish, doesn’t click well
  • The original terminals were already dry.

I want to get another PSP so that I can open this one. 😀

Bad Day[s]

I really had a bad time yesterday and today. One was errr….. and the other was my PSP. It was dropped into a small pool of water, by rain of course. Everything was dry when I tested it back and the L button was stuck. It was constantly pressed according to the XMB but I’m not pressing it. I’ll have to take it to GH tomorrow. sigh. wish it will be fixed.
