2008 Mitsubishi Lancer have arrived at our shores. ( I think )

It is because I saw one hours ago while going to some place that I don’t know and with my parents. While striving to move more than 20 kph along the roads of Greenhills, I saw the Mitsubishi dealership along it and saw the shining Satellite silver (I think) 2008 Lancer displayed inside. I don’t know if it’s for sale now or just a display to make Lancer enthusiasts wait. I hope it’s for sale now especially the Lancer Evolution X is starting to kill down Subaru’s Imprezas even if the Lancer Evos are just [America] imports. 😀

Shell V-Power – Ferrari Car Collection

I know it’s been half a year since its release here in the Philippines but this was the only time I had a camera in my hand so this was the only time I’ve opened the packages to take pictures of the models. Shell and Ferrari have done it again with another set of model cars. The first was the “Collezione” series where Shell had sold one 1:18 scale Ferrari F50, a 1:24 F355 and 8 smaller cars with pullback motors. This time, they had a new set of six cars sold to the public. Welcome to my review of the latest Shell/Ferrari Collection.

Top Gear Season 11 IS FOR REAL~!

I’m a big fan of Top Gear TV series and I’ve never thought that this series will come back again. There were rumors before that this TV series will end as TG host Jeremy Clarkson was “tired” already. However, there are signs of its return as Jeremy revealed in an interview here that he raced a bullet train in JAPAN using a NISSAN GT-R! Come to think of it, a race of a car in its home turf. Then I stumbled on the TG blog that they were really going to push through with the new series. If you want to know what’s about to come for S11, here are the links:

Philippine Toy Convention 2008 – Prologue

I was planning on going to this convention. After all, I’m a big fan of toys (at the moment). I also had modelkits before but took only one seriously by painting and did other modelling stuff to it. In this upcoming ToyCon, I might get you guys a not-so-full-blown coverage. I hope I will be able to see some Gundam models like the one in those Gundam displays that I’ve seen before, with all of the dioramas and more. It will be held on June 14-15, 2008 at the Megatrade Hall of SM MEGAMALL. See you there~!

Choro-Q Nissan GT-R

Oh my, I never thought that this will come out immediately in this series. I’m a big fan of micro cars and I actually have 3 Q-steer cars in my pocket. However, this one, the Nissan GT-R, is not yet released but will come out as a Choro-Q or the pull-back one. I was hoping to get a Q-steer version with all of the Drift Tires and more. OooOoOOOoh How I LoOOOVe It~~! I’m planning on getting 2 units with converting the first unit to a Q-steer body. I’m also getting the Sprinter Trueno Drift version (although it’s red, Carbon fiber hood still looks good on it and black wheels.. :D)

Here’s the AE86:

Tamiya 1:24 Scale Nissan GT-R

I’ve built a plastic model kit before, specifically a Master Grade 1:100 scale RX-178 Gundam Mk-II but this is more interesting because I like cars a lot especially this one. This was from GTRBLOG.com and once this model kit goes out, I might save up some money to build one. Yep, save money because I’m not really a modeller. I’ve tried once and it’s a good experience but I want to try real life objects as well. This one is not from Bandai, though, but from Tamiya.

It’s not released yet but according to GTRBLOG.com, it will be out in the next month. Better save now~!

Migration

A friend of mine is going to Canada tomorrow and he will be there for good. I’m just wondering why most people are already migrating to other countries. One thing, there are a lot of racial discrimination that probably would send me to jail if I heard one nasty description from the people of that place.

Even though our government had a lot of flaws (and even now), I still like it here. WHY? Well, there are a lot of things that I like here.

  • One, it’s a tropical country. Even if it’s so hot, I’d still prefer it from freezing cold because by looking at the state of my body, cold will kill me in no time.
  • Two, Speeding is monitored in such countries. In Japan, I think, they already have speed cameras on Tokyo Highways. Here, get a fast car and the Toyota Vios and Altis cannot catch you. Unless, you ran across San Juan’s Altis, that might be a problem. I would like to experience to speed just once. Or technical turns…
  • Three, Most of the international goodies here are bargains. Take for examples the ORIGINAL iPods. The iPods here are cheaper than what US has to give. Although now, it is already being eaten by the continuous increase of value of the Philippine Peso.
  • Four, Only in the Philippines where traffic can expand from 3 lanes to 5 lanes without any major casualties. It impresses me a lot.
  • Five, also Only in the Philippines where there are intersections have to traffic lights. It’s bad, I know but we Filipinos can manage to drive across without hitting a frowning face.
  • Six, Lots of Malls around. There are malls around you in the blink of an eye.
  • Seven, Lots of places to hangout as well.

This is not a tourism matter people… I know there are also a lot of goodies in other countries but I still prefer to live here. I’m not a big fan of imported chocolates or spam or any international goodies. I know, PSP and Q-steer are from Japan but I buying those for a purpose not because I’m a dying fan of it. 😀

Gran Turismo 2 Aerodynamics

Even up to now, I’m still fiddling with the drift settings for specific cars in Gran Turismo 2 and of course most of them are JDM. Particularly Nissan S15, Toyota Supra JZA80, MAZDA RX-7 FC and FD3S. Unfortunately, I’m only limited to suspension, gear ratio, brake balance and LSD settings. It really hard to set these cars up because most of them are really uncontrollable at certain conditions such as uneven road elevation (Seattle Circuit). Now, to make matters worse, there’s another setting that caught my attention: Aerodynamics

I got this from GTRBLOG.com and it was said that Edmunds had performed their latest test on a Nissan GT-R: A US-Spec Nissan GT-R on their turf.
