Depapepe is teh love~!

At first I don’t know this band. The name of the band was also weird if I’m honest but listening to their songs changes everything. Depapepe is composed of two person playing guitar, instrumental. A blockmate of mine introduced me one of their songs titled “wedding bell” in the album “Let’s Go!!!”. The song was really really nice and last night, I started searching more of the band’s song and all of the songs I got were great. It is hard to get their music primarily because they were Japanese people. Nevertheless their music was great, although it’s instrumental but the blend of two guitars was very amusing.

Lenovo ideapad S10 – First Impressions

I am currently using a Lenovo ideapad Y410 and that laptop alone had given me a good impression. Lenovo is known as IBM before. Lenovo’s like IBM’s computer division since IBM is currently embarking on human resources and they are very apparent here in the Philippines. IBM has a lot of offices here already and I think Lenovo took the job of taking care of IBM’s computer production. That is why you can still see IBM’s famous “ThinkPad” across Lenovo’s lineup. IBM or Lenovo’s computers are still great contenders against other computer manufacturers like HP. Recently, Lenovo gave its shot in making UMPCs or Ultra-Mobile PCs with its Lenovo S10. It is there contender against Acer’s high end Aspire One, Asus’ EEE Pc 1000, Blue H1 and HP’s Mininote. The Lenovo S10 costs Php 27.6K* and it is currently the base model or the only model officially released by Lenovo Philippines. It is actually a good match against Aspire One and EEE Pc because it packs almost the same specifications as the Aspire One and EEE PC. Its opponent on Asus, the EEE PC 1000 only has the 7-cell battery as its advantage with Php 29.9K printed its price tag. The Acer One costs cheaper than S10 by a thousand but the price of this “cheaper price” is a decrease in hard drive space.

As for the Blue H1 and HP Mininote, Lenovo has better performance with Intel Atom compared to H1 and Mininote’s VIA C7-M ULV processor. If HP only took advantage of Intel Atom, it will be better, as well as H1. HP Mininote is also priced in an unreasonable manner, probably because of its Windows Vista operating system. Lenovo’s large( and only disadvantage for me) is its 3-cell battery.

Lenovo Philippines still hasn’t received any options for modifications of S10. Maybe it will come by Christmas. 😀

Ateneo De Manila University – UAAP Basketball Champion~!

Ateneo has recently claimed the championship in seniors basketball. It was a great championship because the juniors were also able to get the title. Anyway, it was the first time in my ateneo life to experience the championship that our school took. I thought that I would never experience a school championship in my whole stay here in the ateneo but the Ateneo team proved me wrong. My older brother who graduated in 2005 have experienced the previous championship taken by Ateneo and that was the only championship in his whole stay in the university. I was hoping that our university will still be a champion next year and for the coming years. Although the championship shirt was quite expensive but still, school spirit was high! There will be a bonfire as means of celebrating the good year of Ateneo in UAAP. It will surely be fun.

Takara-Tomy Aero R/C Drift Package Light

Aero R/C was Takara-Tomy’s attempt to make an R/C in which owners can assemble and modify it themselves. However, not all countries liked it much. In the Philippines, products were pulled in and out several times just to see whether people will buy it. Now, they have produced this “D-spec” version of the Aero R/C and it is called “Drift Package Light”. It was developed with “Yokomo”, an R/C drifting specialist company. The chassis now has drifting tires, camber adjusted wheels and four wheel drive for drifting. Just a bit of information, R/C needs 4WD for drifting unlike the one in real life. This was actually a big hit that even Philippine Micro R/C enthusiasts chase after this drift version series. One vehicle costs around Php 2000 and if you’re after the realistic series where two vehicles are currently available, an Ae86 trueno and Re Amemiya’s RX-7 D1GP, a reasonable addition of Php 200-300 pesos would be added. Sounds interesting as many hobbyists are really into dissecting this piece of excellent work. 😀

Empty Ortigas Sunday Morning

I woke up early this Sunday primarily to beat my 5 kilometer time of 28 minutes and that’s it. After that glorious win of 27:57, I went straight to McDonald’s and ate my breakfast. Then I went straight to Ortigas in University of Asia and the Pacific. When I got to Ortigas, this is what I saw.

It’s the first time for me to see this intersection as empty as the one above. As in everything’s empty. Probably I was walking around that place at 8:30 am but still, seeing that place like that….oh my. It made me walk more as no one was around to steal my phone or no one to suspect of doing something nasty and so on. More pics:

New Q-steer Stuff!

I saw this in the internet as well as in Takara-Tomy’s online catalog. Remember my post regarding the rumors about Lancer Evolution X Qsteer? It was actually true. Most of the cars that rumored to be produced were released in Japan first and they don’t put it in their online catalog immediately. Nevertheless, the pictures of the new cars that came in are here with me. The pictures were courtesy of HobbyLinkJapan. 😀

Then another came up but this time it is not yet in the online catalog. A two Q-steer pack Motul Pitwork and Calsonic GT-R

Nissan GT-R Scale Model

A lot of scale models are coming out now and one of the models is the Nissan GT-R. There are a lot of GT-R scale models that came out already but this one is the one I like:

From GTRBlog.com

I’m not yet dead~!

I’ve been busy for the past few weeks and it’s not stopping! There were a lot of things that kept on coming like quizzes, tests and papers. I wish I can kill them all in one blow but I can’t. Anyway, there were a lot of things I wanted to get, not only the first two Q-steer units, the Lancer Evo X and Nissan GT-R but another one came along and it was a JGTC YMS Yellow hat GT-R Q-steer and it was fabulous. I want it although it costs 750 bucks just like the first two.

Ateneo stuff. I am hearing a lot of stuff like suicide but I didn’t give any attention as my tests are not satisfactory in my mother’s martial law view. (HAHAHAH~!) What I like in our campus now is the Honesty store where there was a cabinet of goodies and a cashbox. The thing is that it is really unmanned and one should pay for what he or she gets from the cabinet. Unfortunately I gave a look at the cabinet and there was a memo saying that they lost about ten thousand pesos which means some people did steal some goodies. bastard Sh*tty assholes, what if UP people knew about it? (ELITISTA NA NGA’T TAYO GANITO PA TAYO). Ateneans were largely known to lower society as rich ass people but seeing the cabinet, it makes me feel ashamed.

Anyway, by semestral break I will be posting more stuff. I have a month-long sembreak which gives me enough time from now to save money for the three cars. heheheh.
