Day 17 – A picture of your mp3 player

Nope, I don’t have an iPod because I’m not a big fan of Apple products and as a result, my music player is also my only gaming console, the PSP. I would’ve love to get the iPod rather than this but this comes with games and music. But instead of ranting, I just turned this thing into a music player. Quite large, compared to iPod, but it has better entertainment offering compared to iPod and it’s as easy as a Flash USB stick to use compared to Apple’s iTunes. 😀 If this thing runs out of batteries, all of the music in it is stored here:

Yup, on my phone. 😀 but I use the PSP more as a player than my phone because I don’t want saying several reasons to people that I did not get their calls and messages plainly because I lost battery power. xD

Day 16 – A picture of your dream cell phone

Not really a dream phone because I’m satisfied with what I have right now. But, if I want to get a new one, it would better be this, the Nokia N8. It’s the latest in Nokia’s touchscreen platform and from the headlines, the most remarkable feature was its High-Definition Camera that can record clear, crisp, high definition videos. xD

Day 15 – A picture of yourself

Family reunion, Afternoon drink at the beach. 😀

Day 14 – A picture of your favorite teacher(s)

Even if rave a lot about bad-ass professors in my school, they are no match to the best teachers I’ve ever seen. My parents are the best teachers and I think the same applies to everyone. They taught all of the things I need for school and for life. Of course, they cannot teach me the things I need for acads because I chose a different field. But they never failed to teach me the necessary moves and strategies so that I can solve all of the academic problems I encountered. I am proud to say here that I won’t be able to make it to where I am now if they have not been that eager to make our lives at a decent level.

Day 13 – A picture of your friends

this was the old picture. I can’t really recall when this picture was taken. I guess it was just before or after we graduated from high school. And now:

This is the latest and it was taken last Christmas at UP Diliman’s lantern parade. It is our annual “MixMas” wherein we have a get-together. I am so proud of my barkada because we are still intact despite not being able to see each other that often. Most of us even stayed in the same university but because of the different fields we went in, we have all sorts of busy-ness in our academic life. Nevertheless, we still give our best shot to place a decent amount of time to see each other and share a lot of moments. What’s also nice about this barkada is that all of the barkada are studying in UP Diliman except me and another one. Ironically, I study in Ateneo and the other one studies in La Salle. xD ahahahah~! I love my barkada so much. 😀

Day 12 – A picture of your favorite food

Nilagang baboy is my favorite food, aside from Adobo, Sinigang and Tinola, because of how you cook it. Nilaga means boiling and it also means every bit in it is just boiled. Which means that when you cook “Nilaga”, just throw everything into the boiling water and let the stove do the job. 😀

Aside from healthy stuff, I have some favorite killers:

It’s also my favorite, Chili’s Chicken Crispers! I’ve eaten this twice and twice only because it’s @#$%^&* expensive. But it’s always worth the money. I ordered this meal with fries and a gigantic slab of mashed potato. :D:D:D Hohoho! and when I ate one of my chicken crispers meal, I ate it with a dash of San Miguel Beer Supah Dry and a couple of glasses of Pepsi.

Last but not the least, my favorite snacks! (just in time because I’ve just bought these a while ago.:D)

Lays, boxes of Pocky (not the original Japanese one because one box of the original one costs 80-100Php rather than 30+), and Pringles. 😀

Yet, despite all of these, I’m not getting fat. Damn.

Day 11 – A picture of your favorite drink

For sure, people close to me will agree that my favorite drink is that red can above. My family actually loves it, even if it’s about to kill us. 😀 Suprisingly, it has not given me diabetes but I’m not waiting for that to come. The best story I can tell about this drink is that after my first hyperacidity (of course, due to Coke), no more Hyperacidity due to Coke occurs. Hyperacidity can still occur to me but not by Coke. I can actually drink Coke in the morning without eating anything and I’d be fine. Another favorite drink of mine is…

Of course, no other than the favorite our relatives on our Mom’s side, beer. Specifically, my favorite is that one, Super Dry. I am not drinking excessively. I actually drink beer as means of sanitation inside my body. 😀 But of course, occasions like family gathering, barkada overnights or block outings make me drink a lot. If you’ll allow me, this drink according to most people makes people fat. I asked “really?” 😀 Hahaha~! It’s because I haven’t shown any signs of getting fat by beer, not even a beer belly. xD

The picture of the beer with a Puchi Nendoroid was taken by the owner of that figure and the one who also bought the drinks for the new year celebration, my big brother. 😀

Day 10 – A picture of what you like to do

There are a lot of things I like to do. I assume you won’t believe me when I say I like studying. 😀 hahaha~! I love driving but I don’t have a car. But I do get as much games that simulate driving. I don’t know why, but driving makes me feel so calm and steady. It gives me time to think about things and it’s sort of like an outlet when I am angry or disappointed.I also like cooking. 😀 Yes, I do cook but Philippine Cuisine. Sometimes, I try to cook out whatever I have here in the kitchen and come up with something really stupid but so delicious. 😀 hehehehe

Day 08 – A picture of yourself

This image was posted on my Facebook’s wall. 😀 That’s a better look of mine: a bit long hair, some short beard (?) and some decent combing.

Day 07 – A picture that makes you cry

My Grandparents. That picture above shows my grandparents on my mother side. Here’s my grandfather with his sister:

My dad was not able to get a decent picture of my grandmother on his side, probably because phones with cameras are still expensive that time and that’s the only picture I can get now… 😦

All of my grandparents have gone to God’s place already. My Granpa on Mom’s side, I called him “Tatay”, went first. Then I think it was my Grandma on Dad’s side, “Lola Tilde” that went to God’s place, followed by “Nanay”, my GrandMa on Mom’s side and finally “Lolo Amboy”, my GrandPa on Dad’s side. I love them so much. It just makes me so sad that I only get to spend a little time with them, especially my grandparents on Dad’s side. Lolo Amboy and Lola Tilde were not speaking tagalog or at least Lola Tilde was speaking. As far as I can remember, I only met them two or three times because they lived in Ilo-ilo and we’re not visiting that place frequently because of transportation costs. My Lolo Amboy even left me a gift, an additional line on my pointer finger on my left hand which, as they say in Ilo-ilo, makes dogs polite when you come to them, even if they are so fierce and so angry. Lola Tilde made me learn how to be tough. I heard from my Dad that it was Lola Tilde that tamed my Lolo before. 😀 hahahah~! and she was also the toughest person I’ve ever seen as she struggled to be alive despite her ulcer that eventually took her life. I learned that no matter how things may be pessimitic, you should still have patience and hope and that reflects on my dad now and I wanted to follow that. Although I did not know them because I was not able to meet them frequently, my Dad as well as his siblings kept telling stories that inspire me and followed their style of living and attitude in life.

My grandparents on Mom’s side make me cry more. They shaped probably 20-50% of my life now. They would struggle to get enough money for bus fare and travel to Manila from La Union (Ilocos region) just to see how we’re doing here. It was my grandmother who solved the mystery of my several fevers that doctors cannot tell the cause. They taught me the know-how of public markets, practicality and simplicity in life. They showed me how to be meticulous on things, that’s why I got over that ridiculous fever of mine during childhood.

All my grandparents contributed a lot in my life and that’s why I was saddened that they have to go at an early time of my life. I wish they were still here so that I can ask them more about what to do in difficult situations, tell me more practical stuff and amazing things that no one will ever see in this busy world of technology. I wish they were now. I love them so much and I will cherish all of the building blocks they gave me. 😦
