US-Spec Nissan GT-R

Hey look~! A Left-Hand-Drive Nissan GT-R R35!!!

I got this from GTRBLOG.com and it was said that Edmunds had performed their latest test on a Nissan GT-R: A US-Spec Nissan GT-R on their turf.

It was nice to see a Nissan GT-R now that it already has a LHD version. I really liked the car but there are a lot of drawbacks especially if I’m to import one here in the Philippines after I graduate. For sure the Nissan GT-R will last again for 4-5 years just like the R34. The Nissan GT-R was munching praises as it can outperform a Porsche 911 Turbo and even a Porsche 911 GT3 (tested by EVO UK). What I am waiting now is how Porsche 911 GT2 will face the V-spec that’s coming in about… what.. a year I think?

Anyway, if I’m to import [now] a Nissan GT-R here, the US-Spec Price is about $75,925…. That’s more than 3 million pesos and keep in mind the corrupt officials of Customs where they will put lots of taxes on such cars especially they suddenly turned their eyes on smuggled cars (what the hell, why just now?). So expect about 4-5 million pesos to waste. But that’s okay for an occasional ride on the bargain car that can do almost 200 mph and will do 0-100 kph in 3.5 seconds. I’m worried about the fuel consumption, though, because it’s a 3.8 liter V6 with two turbos. STILL, an occasional ride will do fine for me. Oh yeah, forgot about the service. Hahahah~!

I like the car so much too i had seen so many comparo on other super cars it is really amazing it outperforms the porsche 911 turbo with almost half the price well, who wont one of this baby. but to have it here in the Philippines i guess its a waste, we dont have the road to drive that car here. but as you said occasional driving will, i guess will just be fine. I heard that this car will cost more than 8 million pesos plus tax here. well we can figure it out why the price is that high were in the Philippines where taxes on cars are way too expensive.
